Hackers attack Pak Met office website

The website of the Pakistan Meteorological Department 

www.pmd.gov.pk

has been hacked.
 
 Hackers have posted a message and some pictures in connection with the anniversary of Mumbai attacks in 2008, for which India had wrongfully tried to implicate Pakistan.

This is not the first time that hackers have attacked Pakistan’s official website in the past.

Kenya VS Pakistan playing five ODIs in Lahore Pakistan -2014

The national cricket team of Kenya touring Pakistan from Dec 11 to 24 will play five One-days against Pakistan ‘A’ with all matches to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. 

The first one-dayer is scheduled for Dec 13,14.

PCB has decided to host all five matches in Lahore. Even the tourists will have to stay at the National Cricket Academy which is adjacent to the stadium for the same security reason.

“The series is a part of PCB chairman Shaharyar Mohammad Khan’s sustained endeavour to bring international cricket back to Pakistan, which may see more national teams visit the country in 2015,” a PCB press release stated.

The decision of hosting Kenya was taken at a meeting chaired by PCB Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad.

“The entire series would consist of day matches, and shall be spread over 45-overs each”, said Zakir Khan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the series and PCB Director International Cricket.

Kenya would become the second national team after Afghanistan to visit Pakistan since March 9, 2009 when the Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked here.

Dec 13: First one-dayer.
Dec 15: Second one-dayer.
Dec 16: Third one-dayer.
Dec 18: Fourth one-dayer.
Dec 20: Fifth one-dayer.

128 children die in 57 days (Thar Pakistan)

Around 535 children have lost their lives across the famine-affected region over the past 11 months, with more than 300 under treatment in various government-run hospitals.

Civil Surgeon Civil Hospital Mithi clarified that most of the deaths of children in Tharparkar occured due to various medical conditions such as premature birth, Pneumonia, sinus problems and other diseases.

He said that the hospital was providing all out health facilities to ailing children, including incubator, oxygen and medicines, said a handout issued here.

Despite many promises made by the federal and provincial governments, the people of the area have got nothing and their condition has worsened with each passing day.

Imran Khan PTI presents new offer....

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday withdrew his demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif before holding a probe into last year’s general elections.

Addressing tens of thousands of supporters at Rahim Yar Khan, he proposed that a Supreme Court’s commission should be set up to hold an impartial inquiry in four to six weeks.

“Officers of ISI and MI should investigate the elections within four to six weeks and presents its finding to the Supreme Court's commission,” he said.

Prime Minister Sharif can meanwhile remain in his office while our sit-in will also continue, he said.

“If the rigging is established in the investigation, then Nawaz Sharif will have to go after announcing fresh elections.”

He said that the next elections should be held under a new election commission.

“I will announce our next strategy on Nov 30. Nawaz Sharif will not be able to run the government.

” On November 30th, I am predicting, the numbers shall be unprecedented for it will be the biggest turn out in history, Khan said, adding that the protest till date has been peaceful but he can't guarantee the same for post November 30th.

Microsoft Band fitness and exercise device

Microsoft Corp launched a device called "Microsoft Band" that will allow users to monitor their fitness and exercise regime, marking the world's largest software company's debut into the wearable technology market.

The wrist-worn device has sensors that monitor pulse rate, measure calorie burn and track sleep quality, Microsoft said in a blog post.

Microsoft said the device will be available in the United States in limited quantities from Thursday for $199.
